Bylaws:

On December 8, 2005, the Section members adopted revisions to the Section’s Bylaws. The revised Bylaws can be viewed here (pdf). The Bylaws have been amended to:

  • Properly reflect the current Section name of “Technology Law Section”
  • Reflect gender-neutral titles
  • Revise officer succession to allow for more open election process, including the possibility of contested elections for the Secretary position, with the prior Secretary succeeding to Vice Chair and the prior Vice Chair succeeding to Chair
  • Replace the nominating committee by an Election Committee, which will accept nominations for Secretary, ensure that the candidates so nominated are qualified in accordance with the Bylaws, and administer elections
  • Provide that all voting will occur via paper and/or electronic ballot in advance of the Section’s Annual Meeting, and the results will be announced at the Annual Meeting.
